Scripture Study Tools:

Amplified Bible - A translation that, by using synonyms and definitions, both explains and expands the meaning of words in the text by placing amplification in parentheses and brackets after key words or phrases. From the Lockman Foundation.

Bible Study Tools - A great collection of online Scripture translations, concordances, lexicons, interlinears, commentaries, etc.

e-Sword - Excellent, free Bible study software for Windows. Includes more than a dozen translations, plus commentaries, dictionaries, maps, and lots of extras.

Gospel Communications Network - An online Christian resource center. Includes a comprehensive search engine for topics of special interest to believers, as well as movie and music reviews, a searchable, multi-translation Bible, links to online stores, and more.

Hebrew Names Version of the World English Bible (Online) - The title speaks for itself. For some inexplicable reason, the translators did NOT use the transliterated Hebrew Names for Yahweh and Yahshua. They do use Yeshua rather than "Jesus."

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia - "This practical, authoritative, and complete classic reference encyclopedia explains every significant word in the Bible and Apocrypha. It gives detailed information on the language and literature of Bible lands, and the historical and religious environments of the people of the Bible in articles by nearly 200 scholars."

Institute for Scripture Research - a non-profit organization whose goals include the restoration of The Scriptures (Torah, Nevi'im, Kethuvim and Brith Chadasha) as closely as possible to the Hebrew original in the English language. Publisher of The Scriptures, "an exciting new literal English translation of the Bible, the Old Testament and New Testament, with transliterated Hebrew names and the original book order of the Jewish Scriptures, the Tanakh."

Peshitta Aramaic/English Interlinear New Testament - The name Peshitta in Aramaic means "Straight." The Peshitta text contains the books in the New Testament that were written in Aramaic, an ancient language related to Hebrew, the language of the Messiah and His Disciples.
